Mediaset: Milan prioritise new signings in two positions – the latest on Milenkovic and Chiesa

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have a couple of priorities for the transfer market and a late move for Federico Chiesa cannot be ruled out, a report claims.

According to SportMediaset, Maldini and Massara are looking at the possibility of signing a young centre-back and a midfielder to complete the respective departments.

For the midfield the main candidates remain Tiemoue Bakayoko, Boubakary Soumaré and Florentino Luis, but each have their economic difficulties in negotiations with their respective clubs.

For the centre-back the favourite remains Nikola Milenkovic of Fiorentina, but their owner Rocco Commisso has currently vetoed his departure.

It will not be easy to deal with La Viola, but if things in Europe proceed according to plan and the Paqueta to Lyon deal should materialise, Milan are determined to improve their offer for the 22-year-old Serbian.

Federico Chiesa could also be included in a potential deal too in order to try and limit the economic outlay (there may be a discount for a double deal), but it is a question from the last days of the market.

It will be very complicated to deal with Fiorentina, who are still angry that they have not received any information on the Ante Rebic deal, for which they are owed a 50% resale clause.
