Mediaset: Milan’s priority to lock down €4m-a-year midfielder and €2m-a-year defender

AC Milan have two renewals in mind that they must address now Gianluigi Donnarumma’s situation appears to be settled, a report claims.

According to reports from SportMediaset (via MilanNews), Milan’s priority at the moment is the renewal of midfielder Franck Kessie. The Ivorian’s current contract with the Rossoneri will expire in 2022 and the management do not want to let it run into the final year, so a pay rise is planned from the current €2.2m net per season salary that Kessie currently earns. Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are ready to put a new contract worth €4m net per year plus bonuses per year on the plate.

Meanwhile, full-back Davide Calabria is also on a contract which is expiring on June 30, 2022, but there should be no particular problems for his extension. The Italian will receive an increase in salary up to €2m net per season as a reward for what has been an excellent bounce-back season.
