CM: Milan could bid farewell to two forwards after less than 12 months

By Oliver Fisher -

The AC Milan management could sell two players this summer in order to raise transfer funds for incoming signings, according to a report.

Calciomercato.com are reporting that Divock Origi and Yacine Adli’s experience at Milan could last just twelve months. The pair became part of the squad last summer but they have not convinced so far and could be sold at the end of the season.

Adli was the first to join technically as he was signed by Milan from Bordeaux on a permanent deal in the summer of 2021 but the decision was made to leave him with the Ligue 1 side on loan for another season. Since returning, he has found playing time hard to come by and has one start to his name.

Origi meanwhile joined on a free transfer from Liverpool and was supposed to be the striker that let Olivier Giroud catch his breath, yet he has just two goals and is not justifying his salary at present.

  1. I don’t get Adli’s situation, the guy wasn’t given enough minutes to show what he can do! Everyone else including bakayoko got a chance…

  2. Switch to 433 can give adili playtime as depth. Origi must leave either with loan or sell. Player must out ( sell or release ) : bakayoko,Origi,Ballo Toure,Saladmaker or junior messias ,Rebic . Return aster & dest to their parent club .

  3. Some people neglect the importance of players work in training sessions.
    Playing time is earned.
If you train hard and perform well in training, no coach will keep you of the team.
Maybe Adli doesn’t get playing time because he hasn’t earned it with his work in training.
Coaches see the players every day, while fans see them once or twice a week.
People saw him vs some 3rd tier competition in pre season and started hyping him up forgetting that this dude came from the worst team in France last year, where btw he got benched towards the end of the season while they were fighting to stay in the league.
And also, they should stop blaming Pioli and falsely accusing him of not playing new players. The only player that didn’t get playing time like Adli was Kalulu, who was 20 when he signed with Milan coming from Lyon’s youth system without playing a single second for their first team. Now he wasn’t good enough to play for Lyon 1st team but according to our fans he was ready to play for Milan.

    1. The reason pioli keep playing CDK instead adili because paolo maldini buy CDK 35m euro , you dont want your highest transfer fee player this season only play 1-4 time with play time below 200 minutes. The best solution are selling adili since they will keep CDK for next season . Me personally think better use that CDK budget to buy new striker replace origi place but we cannot turn back the time

    2. You have some point but Pioli has showned multiple times that he is not really good when it comes to picking players. From keeping Rebic on the bench for half season when he came and playing Hakan as a LW instead. Rebic save our season later on. Then to keeping Leao on the bench, Paqueta, Giroud, Kalulu and latest Thiaw. Most of the time in order for someone to get a chance and prove himself with Pioli someone else needs to get injured. So it is proven that he has been wrong multiple times before when it comes to picking players. That’s why some people are doubting his jugement on Adli as well.

  4. Adli wasn’t given a fair chance. The coach showed very little faith. Origi was a bit part player at Liverpool. What do you expect?
