Milan-linked Belotti coy when asked about his future after ‘last’ Turin derby

By Isak Möller -

Andrea Belotti has linked with AC Milan for many years now and since his contract with Torino will expire in the summer, the hypothesis has gained traction. Indeed, it seems the striker is waiting for the Rossoneri.

Just three days ago, Calciomercato.com reported that Belotti has rejected all the offers he has received thus far as he’s waiting for Milan. He’s a boyhood fan of the club and the Rossoneri will most likely be in the market for a striker this summer.

Belotti managed to get on the scoresheet as Torino claimed one point against Juventus last night, scoring his first since October due to an injury. Afterwards, speaking to Corriere Dello Sport (via MilanLive), he was coy when asked if this was his last Turin derby.

“I don’t know if it was the last derby, but I’m proud of myself and my teammates because we played a great match. Too bad we didn’t win and I think that if we had brought home the three points, it would have been warranted,” he stated.

It’s clear, however, that he sent a signal to the Milan management with that goal as despite a tough injury, he’s decisive even against the big teams. Now all he can do is wait and end the season well.
