AC Milan’s management have been working hard to secure the core of the future and they are close to announcing four renewals, according to a report.
This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews) analyses the Rossoneri’s strategy of being more proactive in talks over renewals than they perhaps were with the expiring contracts of Gianluigi Donnarumma and Hakan Calhanoglu plus Franck Kessie and Alessio Romagnoli at present.
The paper stats that the announcement of the renewal of Theo Hernandez’s contract is expected in the next few days as the French full-back will go from a salary of €1.5m net per season to €4.5m.
Rafael Leao is also close to extending his commitment with the club and he will get the same pay increase from €1.5m to €4.5m, while Ismael Bennacer should renew and his pay will rise from €1.7m to €3.2m.
Finally, young central defender Matteo Gabbia is also expected to renew until 2026 and improve his salary in the process and though no figures are mentioned, we have seen suggestions that it will be an increase from €0.8m to €1.2m.
