Tuttosport: Milan must decide what to do with young striker after a year in Serie B

AC Milan need to decide what they will do with youth striker Lorenzo Colombo who has just spent a season at Spal in Serie B, a report claims.

As has been reported by Tuttosport (via Milan News), there is a decision to make when it comes to the future of Colombo as well as other young players at the club.

The 20-year-old started very well at Spal but his form went downhill as the season progressed and he ended the campaign with six goals and one assist from 34 appearances.

The Rossoneri must decide whether to keep him at the club until January 2023 for registration purposes or whether they should immediately send him back out on another loan to see if he can develop in another team.

It certainly does not seem like he has an immediate future in Stefano Pioli’s side so his best chance to achieve his goals would be to hope for a more successful loan spell elsewhere.

  1. Give him a chance and he will outplay giroud and origi for our starter, am a fortune teller if Colombo stays in Milan he will become our star striker for years

    1. He score 6 goals in Serie B – and you think he will displace Origi and Giroud?? LOL. Come on buddy he’s not ready and it would be unfair to Columbo to throw him to the fire and expect such things. Let him continue to develop slowly in Serie B or a lower team in Serie A. But until this kid lights it up in the B division and scores like 20 goals – talk of him coming back to Milan and displacing Origi and Giroud (both CL winners) is ludicrous and nothing short of comical.
