AC Milan currently have a number of players out on loan at present and they are hoping to recoup significant funds from permanent sales.

As Calciomercato.com report, the comeback win over Lecce on Saturday has boosted morale and will hopefully provide a spark for Milan to win as many of their remaining games as possible, then see what they will see what the table says.

Perhaps the most delicate game is being played off the field, with the search for a new sporting director ongoing. Giorgio Furlani has the last say, while the CEO is also working on sales that might ensure not having to give up a star, in the event of not qualifying for the next Champions League.

Across last summer and the winter window, Milan loaned eight players: Lorenzo Colombo, Yacine Adli, Devis Vasquez, Pierre Kalulu, Tommaso Pobega, Ismael Bennacer, Alvaro Morata and Noah Okafor. Their potential buy-backs would bring Milan €80-85m, of which €61m would be capital gains.

It’s a different story for Alexis Saelemaekers who is at Roma on a dry loan and therefore does not have an option to purchase at a pre-agreed figure. However, they seem to want to keep the Belgian, and his asking price is only going up with each good performance.

The players who have the greatest chance of being bought in June are Kalulu by Juventus for €14m, Vasquez and Colombo by Empoli for €1m and €7m respectively and Bennacer by Marseille for €12m.

There is a good chance that Pobega joins Bologna for €12m while for Morata is it expected that Galatasaray will make it permanent (or try to) only in 2026.

Adli instead should remain in Florence in exchange for Riccardo Sottil given they have the same valuation, at €10.5m. Okafor to Napoli for €23.5m seems more distant as the Swiss has done little so far.

  1. Only Bennacer and Morata are on big salaries, and even they can be good bench options at Milan.
I think biggest flops this seasons are: Florenzi, Tomori, Emerson Royal, Ruben Loftus, Jovic. They first needs to go.

    1. Jovic, Loftus Cheek, and Florenzi didn’t play due to injury. Emerson Royal is subpar. Tomori should be sold while he has admirers, same for Musah in my opinion.

Oh, don’t forget Terraciano. He never should’ve been here.

Just hope Saelemaekers can bring in a good amount if Roma decides to keep him.

      1. why sell when Saelemakers, Leao, Chukwueze, Pulisic, Sottil is a good depth for the wings?

Also if we decide to move to 3 men defense his value would rise as well. Him, Theo, Jimenez and competition for Theo. while you have trio defense of Pavlovic-Gabbia-Walker (Thiaw, Bartesaghi, Coppola for depth).

  2. Jovic, Loftus Cheek, and Florenzi didn’t play due to injury. Emerson Royal is subpar. Tomori should be sold while he has admirers, same for Musah in my opinion.

  3. Throw in Theo, Tomori and RLC, and that’s another 80M. We could bring in 160M in the summer selling players who are already half out the door, on the bench, barely playing due to injury or underperforming. That money will be enough to get a good LB, backup LB, CB, DM, and backup ST, and still put money in the bank.

      1. Star centerback?
He started for about 3 months and got benched 1 month into the next season. That’s what you call a star centerback?
Juventus can have him. When Bremer comes back next season, Kalulu will be benched again at Juventus as well.
Adli, Saelaemakers and maybe Vasquez if Maignan is sold, the rest can kick rocks.

        1. Kalulu is the perfect mirror of our squad. Inconsistent. He joined juve and did great and we all wondered wtf did we do, having Royal and Calabria and RB while some shaky CBs. Fast forward to today, Kalulu has missed significant parts of the season due to injuries (as always) and is currently sitting on the bench. Go figure.

    1. Not a fan of Adli to be honest. We had seen enough of what he can and can not do in midfield. We need disruptors like Kessie was to strengthen midfield. Adli wasn’t that if I remember correctly.

Alexis is a good shout though, for depth. He’d be more useful as a Puli sub than Chuk could ever be. Question is whether he’d want to come and play second fiddle to the American.

Everyone else can stay on after their loans.

  4. We’ll be lucky to get half that amount, moreover talk of a revolution and big changes in the squad ignores the fact that clubs who bring in many players rarely do well in that season. It takes time to for players to gel. One of the reasons some of the loanees are doing well or better than they did at Milan is because they’re joining stable teams.
