Milan legend Ambrosini shares thoughts on Vlahovic amid rumours: “He has exploded”

By Isak Möller -

Milan are looking for a striker to sign in the summer as the 2021/22 season is expected to be Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s last. And at the age of 40, which he will turn in October, he won’t be able to play every game next term.

Therefore, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are at work to identify the best solution for the future, with a few interesting names in mind. As was reported by Tuttosport (via Calciomercato.com) yesterday, there are three strikers in particular.

They are Andrea Belotti (Torino), Gianluca Scamacca (Sassuolo) and Dusan Vlahovic (Fiorentina). The former has had a cracking season with 15 league goals and the big teams are closely monitoring his situation, which isn’t surprising.

Speaking live on Sky Italia, as cited by Calciomercato.com, former Milan midfielder Massimo Ambrosini was asked about Vlahovic and the season he’s having. He agreed that the Serbian international has indeed exploded this campaign.

“I’ve been told that Vlahovic is strong, he has improved in everything during the season, he has exploded. Physically he’s there although he has to learn how to manage a few situations, he’s strong. If Fiorentina have the strength to keep him, a year could help him even more,” he stated.
