AC Milan and Liverpool are going head to head in the battle to sign Red Bull Salzburg midfielder Luka Sucic, according to a report.
The German source SportBild (via MilanNews) claims that Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are interested in signing Sucic, a 19-year-old Croatian midfielder, and the Reds have begun a transfer battle against Milan who have been monitoring him since last November.
The report describes the teenager as a talented midfielder who is considered to be a potential heir to Croatia and Real Madrid star Luka Modric in the future, with his development at Salzburg catching the eye of many.
Goal.com has previously reported that Milan have their eyes on the 18-year-old Sucic and Calciomercato.com followed that up by reporting the Rossoneri management are very keen on the teenager.
The player himself even responded positively on social media to an article mentioning Milan’s interest, and we interviewed his agent in November 2020 about the transfer links.
Botman , Berardi , Origi bit če dosta dobro ali zašto ne i Belotti kad je besplatan _-
This is good to see Milan going for the same players as Liverpool.
Try to get him! I’ve watched RB Salzburg and he is an excellent young player with a great future ahead.
