Pellegatti: Reflection is Milan’s current market strategy as multiple sales are pondered

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have paused to reflect on their next moves in the market having already secured six signings, according to Carlo Pellegatti.

Milan have been the most active of the top clubs in Italy having already welcomed Mike Maignan, Fikayo Tomori, Sandro Tonali, Olivier Giroud, Fodé Ballo-Touré and Brahim Diaz. The Rossoneri management are obviously at work to secure further reinforcements, but it seems that the flurry of new additions is over for now.

According to Pellegatti (via MilanLive), fans must be patient before seeing the attacking midfielder or the attacking winger arrive. The current strategy involves closing the renewal of Franck Kessie while taking a break from potential new recruits, as Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara want to understand the sum they have available.

Milan must sell players to raise funds and free up space in the squad. They are in talks with Venezia over Mattia Caldara, Andrea Conti seems to tempt Sampdoria, while one of Rafael Leao or Jens Petter Hauge could bring a nice chunk as Tommaso Pobega is not for sale.
