Milan reject mega Barcelona offer for star defender

Milan might have to fight off elite interest in order to keep some of their more promising young players.

Today, the Corriere dello Sport revealed that the Rossoneri shot down a €30 million offer for their star defender from Barcelona. This is hardly the first time that they have expressed an interest in the former Roma loanee.

The Corriere claims that with Javier Mascherano heading for the exit door (likely to Juventus), the Catalans are looking for a strong option at centre-back.

Reports from Spain have Romagnoli ahead of PSG’s Marquinhos, and Lyon’s Samuel Umtiti.

The 21-year-old made 40 appearances for the Rossoneri in all competitions this season, scoring twice in the Coppa Italia in an impressive debut season with the club.
