By Euan Burns -

AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan is aiming to recover in time to play a role in the final two Champions League matches this season, a report claims.

As has been reported by Milan News, the French goalkeeper is set to make his return from injury soon having gotten injured during the international break in September.

Providing he returns from the calf injury in time, Milan will be able to register him for the Champions League on October 24 and then he can play in the final two games against RB Salzburg and Dinamo Zagreb.

He is one of the multiple injured Rossoneri players that are aiming to be training with the group again next week as they edge closer to recovery.

Simon Kjaer and Charles De Ketelaere hope to fit in time to have trained ahead of the October 22 match against Monza in Serie A.

Other injured players such as Alexis Saelemaekers and Davide Calabria are not expected to return until 2023.
