Milan must show their true colours in pivotal encounter with Napoli

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan will be without their star Rafael Leao for today’s clash against Napoli, which is obviously a blow. However, the Rossoneri have performed in difficulty before and that’s exactly how their success journey began.

Over the last two years, in spite of struggling with many injuries, Milan have always managed to get through the tough periods. And in many of the cases, the Rossoneri have come out of them even more prepared for the future.

To give an example, when Alessio Romagnoli, Fikayo Tomori and Simon Kjaer all were injured last season, Pierre Kalulu and Matteo Gabbia stepped up at the back. It made Milan better for the future and there have been many situations like that one over the last two years.

In the last few weeks, it’s possible that Milan have become a bit ‘comfortable’ with regards to letting Leao work his magic on the left. Of course, when a player is in such good form, that is what you have to do. For tonight’s clash, however, the Rossoneri must return to their ‘true colours’.

That is, as explained by the example above, finding different solutions in difficulty and coming out of that situation with even more confidence. It’s exactly what a win against Napoli tonight would do. If you have counted them out already, then you clearly haven’t watched Pioli’s men over the last two years.

  1. Theo must increase his game even further tonight. And it seems that Pioli & Co. almost have a solution in any given ‘crisis’. So let’s hope he’ll put one in again.

    1. Well everyone in their right frame of mind propably has some butterflies in their stomachs or are a bit anxious ahead of all big matches like the one against napoli but as Ibrahim ba said we seem to have solutions for any given crisis that might occour which i kinda agree upon. That’s how the squad has been build.
Add to that when ibra was injured people professed we would be done, then others stood up to the task, Various exanples of omnious proclamations where we still stood tall after injury woes.
The really funny thing here is that inter lost 3-1 to udinese while juventus lost 1-0 to monza of all teams . Yes they surely are superior to us and so was their mercatos 😀
