ML: Conti could return to Milan as Parma remain in relegation zone – the latest

By Isak Möller -

In the January transfer window, Andrea Conti left Milan for Parma after failing to get consistent playing time. A buy-out option was included in the loan, with the Rossoneri hoping to sell him permanently.

However, by the looks of it, the right-back could return to Milan at the end of the season. As Stefano Pioli now has Davide Calabria and Pierre Kalulu to rely on, they would have to find a new club for Conti yet again, which isn’t easy.

As highlighted by MilanLive, there is a €7-7.5m buy-out clause included in the loan and that becomes an obligation to buy if certain conditions are met. One of them is Parma securing salvation in Serie A, which is looking unlikely at the moment.

The season is still long and there will be new chances for the American-owned club to bounce back. Currently, though, they are in 19th place with just 15 points collected despite playing one more game than the others.
