ML: The numbers of Milan’s impressive attack this season – only Rebic is missing

By Isak Möller -

This season, just like towards the end of last term, Milan have scored many goals and this has obviously helped them claim 26 points after ten games. The numbers speak for themselves for Stefano Pioli’s side.

As highlighted by MilanLive, they have scored 24 goals in ten league games, 12 in the Europa League group stage and 7 in the Europa League preliminary rounds. Zlatan Ibrahimovic, with his 11 goals, thus isn’t the only goalscorer.

When the Swede has missing, others have stepped and Hakan Calhanoglu is the man closest to him with five goals. Brahim Diaz and JP Hauge are just behind at four, while Samu Castillejo and Rafael Leao are at three.

Without going into all the goalscorers, one man is missing from the party and that is Ante Rebic. The Croatian, who was so important last season, is yet to get on target despite playing as the striker in recent weeks.

His performances haven’t been bad, opening spaces and also assisting goals (five assists), but he needs to score some himself. The elbow dislocation has inevitably affected him and tomorrow’s clash could be the turning point.
