ML: Two stand-out candidates emerge as Milan look around for Pellegri’s replacement

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are not convinced by Pietro Pellegri so far and already scouring the market for a potential replacement, according to a report.

Pellegri did not take part in the trip to the capital to face Roma last night after suffering an ankle problem, and he has so far made just three appearances for Milan having been snubbed from the Champions League squad. He also missed the away match in Bologna, due to an inflammation.

According to MilanLive, the management have their concerns about how much Pellegri will be available especially after all the problems he has had at Monaco and it seems very unlikely at the moment that he will be bought permanently.

There is time for him to change the minds of Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara but in the meantime they are looking for a new striker who gives more guarantees. It could be a profile that is young like Julian Alvarez, or more experienced like Andrea Belotti.

  1. Pellegri had all the tools but he is injured all the time….He will get minutes but his constant issues mean he will not be bought.
Bellotti on a 3 yr contract would be a great deal.

  2. This might be crazy but go for Mario Balotelli! he is in excellent form right now and has matured (sort of), he would be perfect replacement for Ibra

    1. Yes its crazy lol, you know who his agent is right?
He had his chance at Milan and wasted it, and I hope we never deal with his agent ever again

  3. This transfer has got to be the most ridiculous transfer of all time, buying an injured and injury prone backup for two injury prone strikers, what a joke 🤣🤣

    1. He wasn’t bought. Milan just wants a cheap temporary player to cover 2 main strikers, and focused their limited budget on the other departments. Meanwhile, they are waiting for free agents at the end of the season. Some good strikers that can be acquired freely by then.
Not really elegant business, but efficient, I would say
If the market were to provide an opportunity in January Milan can buy a new striker and send him back to Monaco

  4. The complaint is about salary or wages and no excess to disburse nowadays ONLY THOSE ARE READY TO HELP CAN STAY

  5. The last night performance of CIPRIAN TATARUSANU WAS SCINTILLATING in the ABSENCE OF MIKE MAGNET so if F k wants to leave let him GO
