MN: Accusations of racism in Ibra-Lukaku row during Inter-Milan dismantled by the defence

By Oliver Fisher -

Any accusations of racism brought against Zlatan Ibrahimovic for his comments against Inter’s Romelu Lukaku have been dismantled, a report claims.

There was certainly plenty of controversy during last week’s Coppa Italia quarter-final as Ibra and Lukaku clashed just before half time, with the pair exchanging plenty of insults. The Swede made a provocative comment but a clever one related to Lukaku’s past, yet the issue has escalated to the Federal Prosecutor.

According to a report from MilanNews, Ibrahimovic was heard by the federal prosecutor regarding the investigation into the alleged ‘racial slur’ used by the Swede against Lukaku at the end of the first half of the Coppa Italia derby.

The Rossoneri player deposed and was assisted by the lawyer Lorenzo Cantamessa, who in his support of Ibra dismantled in great detail any reference to the accusations of racial discrimination, or the charge on which this proceeding against Ibrahimovic.
