Junior Firpo has been heavily linked with Milan in the last few days as Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are looking to bring in a left-back. And it seems a loan move is possible, which could be the perfect solution.
As highlighted by MilanNews, it would be an intelligent operation that would bring quality to Stefano Pioli’s side. Just like with Diego Dalot last summer, they would be able to protect the left-hand side with a dry loan and invest money elsewhere.
Barcelona, who paid around €18m for the player, are willing to let him go on loan and it would be the perfect move for all the parties involved. Firpo would get more playing time, although Theo Hernandez is the first choice, and Milan would be covered.
It’s obvious that Hernandez has a great future ahead, but having to compete with Firpo would force him to do well week in and week out. With Firpos’ arrival, the full-back spots would be covered, with Davide Calabria and Pierre Kalulu on the opposite side.

Would prefer Matias Vina, though Firpo is also fine.
Rather keep Dalot, he’s only getting better and wants to be here.
