MN: Calabria expected to be back from start against Juventus – the latest

By Isak Möller -

Davide Calabria has tested negative for Covid.19 and his return is getting closer. The vice-captain, who will wear the armband now that Simon Kjaer is out, is a very important player for AC Milan.

The right-back was back in training for the Rossoneri yesterday and that is indeed a huge boost for Stefano Pioli. The manager has been forced to deal with many absences lately and thus getting some players back is always nice.

As reported by MilanNews, Calabria will be called up for the game against Spezia tomorrow but he will start on the bench. His condition obviously isn’t ideal and Alessandro Florenzi has done very well in his absence.

However, in the game against Juventus, Calabria should be back from start and it remains to be seen which player Pioli will drop. Should Alessio Romagnoli return in time, then Matteo Gabbia or Pierre Kalulu’s starting spot will be at risk.
