MN: Chelsea midfielder says no to idea of contract extension as he pushes for Milan move

By Oliver Fisher -

Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko has said no to the idea of renewing his contract as he is pushing for a return to Milan, according to a report.

There has been an abundance of speculation in recent weeks suggesting that Bakayoko – who has returned to west London after his loan at Napoli expired – could re-join Milan, where he was on loan during the 2018-19 season under Gennaro Gattuso.

We spoke to Chelsea insider Nizaar Kinsella of Goal.com to get the latest information on whether Bakayoko could indeed secure a return to the San Siro, and he confirmed that there is a mutual interest in bringing the 26-year-old back to San Siro.

According to the latest from MilanNews, Bakayoko has refused an offer to extend his contract from Chelsea. The player wants Milan, but the structure of the eventual operation is still to be decided. There are two options: either he will join on loan with an obligation to buy or he would arrive on a permanent deal, with talks set to continue in the next few days.
