MN: International break crucial as Pioli hopes to fully recover two forwards

By Oliver Fisher -

The international break is now upon us, and Stefano Pioli will be hoping to recover two very important pieces for his attack ahead of the resumption of Serie A.

MilanNews writes how Milanello will be quiet over the next fortnight given the amount of players called up to play with their respective national teams, but the focus is on Ante Rebic and Divock Origi and if they are able to use the time to recover.

The Croatian is feeling better as his hernia has practically gone now and if after the checks this week he no longer feels any pain, then he will be able to push to be available for the match against Empoli after the break.

Origi is in Belgium and has already been working for days to solve the problem of the rectus femoris tendon that swells and/or inflames after a certain workload.

Rafael Leao will also return from suspension to help against Napoli and in the Champions League, where the two games against Chelsea could be an important indicator of how much the team have grown and if a run into the knockout stages is possible.
