MN: Kessie will return to Italy in the coming hours – injury tests scheduled

By Isak Möller -

Franck Kessie’s Ivory Coast took on Egypt in the Round of 16 of the AFCONs earlier today and they eventually lost on penalties. To make matters worse for the midfielder, he went off with an injury.

Kessie played just 28 minutes of the game as he was forced to be subbed off with the injury, seemingly twisting something. And since it was a knockout clash, the No.79 will now return to Italy and Milan.

This was reported by MilanNews, stating that the midfielder will return ‘in the coming hours’. He will undergo a series of tests to determine the extent of his injury, which Milan are hoping isn’t too serious. Initial reports suggest it’s was a knock to the ribs.

Regardless of his future, sitting on an expiring contract, the Rossoneri need Kessie to compete for the Scudetto this season. Having midfield depth is key and the Ivorian has been an important player in the last few years.

    1. at the neck, or maybe get the splinter removed he will have in his ass from sitting on the bench at Barca. ” ’tis better to dance with the devil you know, than the devil you don’t”

    1. Last time the only thing he did was give away the cheapest penalty of the century. (Although the referee was to blame too).

      He’s sooooooooooooooooo overrated.

  1. ac milan management are not serious at all, try to understand dembele’s situation at barca, the management and the choach are clear about there stands, renew your contract and continue together or find a team or we send you aside. what kind of a concern they are showing to a player that has no future in team. neither we need him or like him at the club until he renew. Tonali and be benecer are much better than this clumsy kessi that always give away to opponent.
