MN: Kjaer has no intention of leaving and Milan want to keep him – the situation

By Isak Möller -

Simon Kjaer has recovered from the serious knee injury he sustained back in December of 2021 and he will be present for the first pre-season training tomorrow. And the transfer rumours? They are unfounded.

A few outlets have linked the Danish international with Fiorentina as he could struggle to get playing time at Milan this season. Fikayo Tomori and Pierre Kalulu have formed a tremendous couple but there are many games and Kjaer will indeed get to play.

According to Pietro Mazzara of MilanNews, Kjaer has no intention of leaving Milan this summer and the club wants to keep him. Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara believe losing the Dane would deprive Milan of an important player on the pitch and in the locker room.

The rumours of a Fiorentina, therefore, should be regarded as untrue or at least La Viola have no chance of signing Kjaer. Tomorrow, the first training session of the pre-season will take place and the centre-back will be there.

  1. Why would Milan even consider selling him when they couldn’t get a serious amount for a player of that age and he is an added value in the locker room, and a good defender.

  2. Why would he want to leave? He is finally home now, where he could finally invest all his skills and experience in his first big trophy.
