MN: Loan move ‘likely’ as Verona and Cremonese push for Milan youngster

By Isak Möller -

Daniel Maldini is expected to leave AC Milan on loan for the upcoming season in order to get more playing time. Hellas Verona are very keen on the attacking midfielder and a move is close, a report claims.

This past season, Maldini Jr made a mere 13 appearances for the Rossoneri and only three of them were from start. He did, however, managed to find the back of the net as he scored a crucial equaliser away at Spezia with a nice header.

He needs more playing time to continue his development, though, there is no doubt about that. According to Antonio Vitiello, a loan move is very likely for Maldini as both Hellas Verona (the favourites) and Cremonese are pushing to sign him.

Hopefully, the youngster will get some consistent playing time and come back even stronger for the 2023/24 season. He has shown glimpses of his potential before and now he needs to do that with the Bentegodi side.

  1. Verona would be an excellent place for him. They are selling Simeone. And he will have great partners to team up with.
