MN: Milan’s defensive crisis against PSG – Bartesaghi one of two subs

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan’s defensive crisis has been further highlighted by the squad list for tonight’s game against PSG. In fact, Stefano Pioli will have just two defenders on the bench and one of them is youngster Davide Bartesaghi.

Pierre Kalulu, Simon Kjaer and Marco Pellegrino are all injured and will thus miss out on the action tonight. Furthermore, Primavera star Jan-Carlo Simic cannot be included on the B-list as he hasn’t been at the club long enough.

As reported by MilanNews, Pioli has decided to not include any Primavera players and this means the only defenders available are Davide Bartesaghi and Alessandro Florenzi. The youngster can play as a centre-back, as we saw in the pre-season, but the situation is not ideal.

Milan will need to claim at least a draw to keep their hopes of reaching the next round alive. However, given that the reverse fixture ended 3-0., it will be far from easy for the Rossoneri tonight and it remains to be seen what the tactics will be like.
