Romero and Pioli

MN: Probable Milan XI for Udinese clash – two changes with Romero ready

AC Milan are currently gearing up for the game against Udinese on Saturday evening, hoping to bounce back from three games with a win. Stefano Pioli needs to think carefully, therefore, about his XI choices for the clash.

The Rossoneri were heading for a huge win against Napoli last weekend but squandered a 2-0 lead. getting just one point from the game in the end. As a result of that, a strong signal needs to be sent to their league rivals on Saturday.

According to MilanNews, Pioli is expected to make just two changes compared to the Napoli game, which is understandable given the injury crisis. Malick Thiaw will be back from his suspension while Luka Romero is set to replace Christian Pulisic, who is shaking off a minor injury.

Probable Milan XI (4-3-3): Maignan; Calabria, Thiaw, Tomori, Hernandez; Musah, Krunic, Reijnders, Romero, Giroud, Leao.

Giroud has been able to get a full week of rest since his brace against Napoli and it makes sense to play him from start. The PSG game is scheduled for three days later, but Pioli could solve that by subbing the Frenchman off.

  1. What did Adli wrong? Suddenly he is on bench. I guess the only way to get rid of Krunic is taking him off with his father Pioli

    1. It’s utterly ridiculous. Doesn’t matter how well Adli plays or how bad Krunic plays, and he has been bad since coming back, Pioli’s pet will always win out. There is no good reason not to give Krunic a rest here, he’s coming off an injury and just played the full game against Napoli. Pioli is just afraid Adli will play very well and then he will have to justify starting Krunic against PSG. This is how coaches lose the locker room. Just as all the fans see this, I’m sure the players see this as well. Just to remind everyone, we didn’t lose a single match while the Great Krunic was out with injury. Since he came back we lost 2 games and blew a 2-0 lead against Napoli. So of course he should be rewarded with another start. All we can do is hope for another injury.

    2. Unbelievable. 3 straight awful games and another start. Poor Adli. And this is why inter-office relationships are frowned upon.

Does anyone know when the wedding is?

      1. Jajaja, I know this is pure sarcasm, but it’s quite weird when you see this on Krunic’s perspective. Dude is married to one appealing women and some guys crack jokes about his intimate relationship with Pioli who is also married. Let’s be innovative man and think of some other less morally degraded ways to make fun of him.

    3. Man, I don’t even want to talk about the Adli situation anymore. Both have their own strengths and weaknesses, but we need Adli’s passing and long balls, he is also good at winning the ball. This is just a waste of time and energy, just move on, we can’t do anything if our manager doesn’t trust your better player.

      1. Adli long pass was good just in one game and he can hardly win the ball. Not convincing. Pioli knows that in PSG clash he needs Krunic at its best and trying to make him fit

  2. Did Adli play that horrible not to even give him the chance to play against Udinense?
Krunic has been poor since his comeback(and never been specially bright to be honest)
Yacine could even play for Reinjders
Give Okafor a starter once in a while, he was not bad at all.

    1. You are right, Reijnders needs a break. I personally would like to see Adli in the mezzela position, instead of the 6. Even though I think he was on his way to being faaarr better than Krunic in that position.

But my main problem in the predicted lineup is Romero. The boy was a minus one player against Napoli. How about play Adli and then shift Musah wider, with Reijnders and Krunic completing the MF

  3. Folks, Krunic cannot start in a good soccer team, this is so obvious, but if you guys look at Adli, he appears lazy at time. He seems to stop when an opponent flies past him, he is so weak physically, but he is a superb distributor, has a great vision of the field. My view is that Pioli is starting Krunic for his strength, nothing else. I would rather give Adli a chance over Krunic. In my view, Adli will be a great player in the future.

  4. pioli doesn’t have to start with his key player in every game. for example, he could let giroud play in the last minute instead. that would be enough to keep him in the game mode for psg later. combine your reserve and key player make them work together game in game out. so yeah i think that’s not a bad line up. adli, pobega, okafor, jovic can come in by the 2nd half. anyway this is still a probable line up.

  5. Krunic is average and Adli needs someone to cover for him which we don’t have. Now what? I’ll say it over and over again, we needed proper DM to play 433. Now we are where we are, deciding between Krunic and Adli and neither is adequate for that position.
