MN: Milan in talks with Raiola over future of six players – from Romagnoli to Dumfries

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan are already preparing for next season, set to replace Stefano Pioli with Ralf Rangnick and thus start the youth revolution. Mino Raiola, the powerful agent, will be an important ally for the Rossoneri.

According to a report from MilanNews.it, Milan had a meeting with the agent recently to discuss a total of six players: Alessio Romagnoli, Gigio Donnarumma, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Jack Bonaventura, Denzel Dumfries and Ryan Gravenberch.

As for the Rossoneri captain, a renewal is in the works and Raiola is asking for a salary of around €4.5m per year. Milan are willing to reach similar figures but only with the inclusion of bonuses. Both parties want to continue together.

The same can be said for Donnarumma, although the salary request is of course higher. Milan are starting to evaluate a multi-year renewal with a similar salary to the current one, as few clubs will be able to sign the goalkeeper this summer.

Ibrahimovic will most likely leave the club at the end of this season, following the confrontation with CEO Ivan Gazidis before the Juve clash. Rangnick won’t be able to veto the departure either, per the report.

Another player that will leave is Bonaventura, who joined the club back in 2014. Milan appreciated his willingness to renew the contract for an additional two months, but they will still part ways at the end of the season.

With regards to the incoming market, Denzel Dumfries is on the Rossoneri’s radar and was discussed with Raiola. PSV value the player at €20m and will only accept a cash offer, while Milan want to include Ricardo Rodriguez. The negotiations are on hold.

The agent also offered Ryan Gravenberch to the San Siro side, although the midfielder recently renewed with Ajax, but the opportunity was turned down due to the commission request of €5m.
