Next month, which is just a few days away now, AC Milan are expected to make some signings and sales. Injuries will force the Rossoneri to act more on the incoming front, while some of the departures are obvious.
Manuel Del Vecchio, a writer for MilanNews, has taken a look at the potential signings and sales the Rossoneri could make during the January window. Indeed, there could be a good amount of movement, which should make for an interesting month.
Starting at the back, Milan will have to cover for the absence of Simon Kjaer, who will be out for the rest of the season. Sven Botman is the priority but Lille are asking for €30m to part ways with him. Alternatives include Bremer, Nikola Milenkovic and Andreas Christensen.
Moving on to the certain (almost, at least) departures, we find Samu Castillejo and Andrea Conti. The former has proved useful lately but there are no doubts about his future, with Genoa interested in his services. As for the right-back, finding a new club could be tricky.
Lately, some have suggested that Yacine Adli could be brought back early to bolster the midfield department, amid the upcoming AFCONs. However, that won’t happen, and the same can be said for Mattia Caldara who will stay at Venezia at least until the summer (there is an option included).
Finally, there is one reinforcement that isn’t as certain as the centre-back one, namely Romain Faivre. He has expressed his desire to join the club in the past but from Milan, it has filtered that they aren’t too keen currently and especially not in January.
