MN: Milan remain confident in negotiations over Simakan – Kabak still an option

By Isak Möller -

Milan’s centre-back pursuit on the transfer market continues, with just a few names linked to the club over the last few days. Mohamed Simakan seems to be the first choice, but the Rossoneri have a backup if that doesn’t pan out.

According to MilanNews.it, Milan are still negotiating with Strasbourg over the young defender, hopeful that they can reach an agreement eventually. If they can’t, though, the option is Ozan Kabak of Schalke 04.

The Turkish international has been linked with the club before and it all depends on the price tag, though it seems a discount is possible. Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are working very hard, but it won’t be easy for them.

In other news, there could also be a signing for the midfield. Boubakary Soumare has been linked with a move to San Siro but it remains a complicated negotiation, meaning we will just have to wait and see.
