MN: Milan get ready for USA departure – the planned movements of the management

By Oliver Fisher -

The AC Milan squad will soon leave for their tour of the United States and the plans of the management have emerged, according to a report.

According to MilanNews, the team are scheduled to leave for their trip to the USA on Thursday afternoon, where Paulo Fonseca’s team will take part in the Soccer Champions Tour 2024, as part of which they will play three games.

During the tour, the Rossoneri will face off against Manchester City in New York (28 July at 00:00 CEST), Real Madrid in Chicago (1 August at 2.30) and Barcelona in Baltimore (7 August at 01:30), meaning some high-level friendlies await.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Geoffrey Moncada and Giorgio Furlani will also leave with the team, but they will have very different plans from each other. For example, the CEO will in fact stay in the USA for a few days and then return to Milan to conduct some mercato operations.

Ibrahimovic and Moncada, on the other hand, will remain alongside the squad for the entire tour. A plenary meeting with the players, the staff and the management involving Gerry Cardinale is also likely, just like what happened a year ago in Los Angeles.

The fact that Furlani is the one that will depart early to return to Italy and do work in the window is interesting, because even though he has final approval powers it is Moncada who is the technical director.
