MN: Milan want to keep Real Madrid forward beyond his loan – what it depends on

By Oliver Fisher -

It cannot be excluded that Real Madrid playmaker Brahim Diaz stays at AC Milan beyond the end of the season, a report claims.

Brahim Diaz joined Milan on a season-long dry loan from Real last summer and he has certainly made a valuable contribution to the team’s success on the field, helping them finish second in the league with some excellent performances late in the campaign. However, his future remains uncertain as there is no option to buy built in to the deal, so Milan must re-negotiate to keep him.

According to MilanNews, first Real Madrid will choose their new head coach and then we will understand more about the future of Brahim. Milan would like to renew the loan of the Spaniard, who has adapted very well in the Rossoneri dressing room and showed his ability late in the season.

First though, we must see if Zinedine Zidane will stay or another coach will arrive, and what plans there will be for Diaz based on that. The talks between Maldini and Los Blancos will come alive only after that choice is made.

  1. Hope it works out. Took him a few months to adapt to the Italian game — namely the physicality and harder time dribbling — but he has shown real quality.

Can see him in the starting 11 next year.
