MN: Probable Milan XI for Bologna clash – two changes and two battles

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan will take on Bologna tomorrow evening and Stefano Pioli is expected to make two changes to the starting XI. The Rossoneri, of course, are looking to get back to winning ways after the draw against Atalanta.

Milan failed to claim all three points against Atalanta despite what was a rather good performance. They lacked the final touch in attack and this has prompted Pioli to make a few changes for tomorrow’s clash.

According to MilanNews, Olivier Giroud is the clear favourite to start tomorrow but Divock Origi cannot be completely ruled out. Charles De Ketelaere will get the chance from start for the first time, replacing Brahim Diaz in the No.10 role.

On the right, Junior Messias is currently set to start but Alexis Saelemaekers is still in the running, especially given the Brazilian’s disappointing display vs. Atalanta. Two changes and two battles, therefore, as things stand.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Calabria, Kalulu, Tomori, Theo; Bennacer, Tonali; Messias (Saelemaekers), De Ketelaere, Leao; Giroud (Origi).

  1. Diaz should be sent back, it is high time we started training our own owned player and not train player for Madrid.

I pity Adli, I smell Hauge and paqueta situation

  2. Rebic should start at RW. I love Pioli and I love almost everything he has done with the team; but I can’t stand that he insists on playing Messias and Saele when they’re both SO INFERIOR to Rebic. I don’t understand it. Rebic can play the position, he’s better at passing, scoring, pressing. He’s better in every way. It just doesn’t make any sense to me. Messias is terrible and Saele works hard; but his decisions in the final third are atrocious.

  3. I would rather see Rebic at the 10 and CDK at rw and two reasons : on the oppositions counter attack if Rebic is more central he could be involved most of the time to disrupt and intercept , and being good with either foot he played there at Eintracht. Rebic is a bull on the field and we need to start being more physical, I like Diaz but the game has changed lately from finesse to just physically having your will on your opponent.
