MN: Milan youngster Colombo closing in on loan move to Serie B – the latest

By Isak Möller -

Lorenzo Colombo has featured in both of Milan’s pre-season friendlies this summer. Despite this, it perhaps didn’t come as a huge surprise that he was excluded from Milan’s squad list for today’s clash against Nice.

Colombo spent the second half of last season on loan at Cremonese and although it wasn’t a huge success, Milan believe in him a lot. And with that said, there has been a lot of talk about a new loan experience for the youngster.

According to MilanNews, this is precisely why he was left out of the squad for tonight’s friendly. SPAL have reached an agreement with the Rossoneri for the loan of Colombo, who could sign his contract with the Serie B side very soon.

Jens Petter Hauge was also excluded from the squad list and initially, it was thought that a move was close for the winger. However, it seems he asked Pioli to exclude him due to excessive training during the week.
