MN: Milan’s plans are clear for young quartet Daniel Maldini, Kalulu, Gabbia and Plizzari

By Oliver Fisher -

Milan are committed to strengthening the squad with several signings, but they must also resolve the immediate future of some young players.

According to the latest from MilanNews, defensive duo Pierre Kalulu and Matteo Gabbia will be kept in the squad going into the 2021-22 campaign barring irrefutable offers, as they both have a lot of potentia.

Alessandro Plizzari should be the third goalkeeper behind Mike Maignan and Ciprian Tatarusanu after the departure of the Donnarumma brothers. The 21-year-old has spent time on loan at Ternana, Livorno and Reggina in recent years, and now it is time for him to remain and learn from two experts in the role.

Daniel Maldini meanwhile has several admirers, especially in Serie B, but he should also remain in the squad because he helps with the UEFA squad list issue regarding home-grown players. The teenager suffered a lengthy injury lay-off but is ready to get involved in the summer training camp at Milanello.
