MN: Milan’s probable XI for Lecce encounter – Castillejo, Hernandez back in action

By Isak Möller -

The return of Serie A is getting closer after the Coronavirus stop and, consequently, AC Milan are gearing up to take on Lecce away from home this Monday. With the first tie ending in a draw, the Rossoneri are aiming for revenge.

According to the latest updates from MilanNews.it, Stefano Pioli will continue with the successful 4-2-3-1 formation. However, compared to the clash against Juventus, the balance will be slightly different this time out.

Samu Castillejo and Theo Hernandez will return to the pitch after serving their respective suspension last time out. The duo has been very important for Pioli’s side since the start of the year and it will certainly be a boost to have them back.

Rafael Leao is, once again, expected to start on the bench as Ante Rebic will keep his spot as the centre-forward. Subsequently, Hakan Calhanoglu will occupy the left flank and Jack Bonaventura is ahead of Lucas Paqueta for the trequartista role.

Likely Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Donnarumma; Conti, Kjaer, Romagnoli, Hernandez; Kessie, Bennacer; Castillejo, Bonaventura, Calhanoglu, Rebic.
