MN: Milan’s strategy this summer is clear – few but specific reinforcements

By Isak Möller -

Revolutions need time and planning and this isn’t the right summer for experiments. Among other things, this Milan side needs continuity after many years of changes – corporate and technical.

As reported by MilanNews.it, there will be signings and sales, of course, but the core of the group won’t change. Two or three signings could be made in the defence: a centre-back and a pair of full-backs.

In midfield, at least one important signing will be made and Tiemoue Bakayoko remains the first choice. Perhaps, there will also be a signing for the attack, such as a right-winger or a striker. On that front, we’ll have to wait and see.

Then, there will be the renewals, starting with Zlatan Ibrahimovic. After him, the Rossoneri will have to deal with the likes of Gigio Donnarumma and Hakan Calhanoglu, two crucial players in Stefano Pioli’s side.

In other words, the requests from the manager are very specific and thus there won’t be loads of signings, because frankly Milan don’t need this.
