AC Milan have received an offer from Monaco for midfielder Franck Kessie, a reliable source has confirmed.
Shock reports on Thursday claimed that the Rossoneri were in talks with Monaco over a €20m deal for Kessie, and it was even claimed that Milan have ‘begun talks’ with some of his potential replacements.
However, Gianluca Di Marzio quickly squashed that speculation by claiming that Monaco’s bid was refused out of hand and the player does not want to leave.
More reports emerged from France on Friday morning suggesting that an agreement between the two clubs for Kessie has been found, with the former Atalanta man believed to be valued at €35m.
Now, MilanNews.it have clarified the situation by confirming that Monaco have indeed made an offer for Kessie.
Their report states that a bid of between €23-28m for 22-year-old has been received by the Rossoneri, and that it is being evaluated.
It will be a ‘very complicated’ negotiation however, as Milan will be looking to find a replacement in the last 10 days of the transfer window before sanctioning the sale.
In addition, personal terms might be hard to agree as Kessie will reportedly have a ‘very high’ request in salary terms.
