As the derby against Inter will take place on Sunday, AC Milan continued their preparation for the game at the Milanello today. Certainly, given the importance of the game, Stefano Pioli has some tough decisions to make.
Earlier today, Sky Italia (via MilanNews.it) reported that the manager tried a 4-4-1-1 formation during training, putting Hakan Calhanoglu in a role behind Zlatan Ibrahimovic. However, by the looks of it, this was simply just a test.
Instead, as reported by MilanNews.it’s Thomas Rolfi, the Rossoneri are expected to continue with the 4-4-2 formation on Sunday evening. Considering that they have done well with this system, you can understand Pioli’s intention to opt for consistency.
Kick-off is scheduled for 20:45 on Sunday evening and Inter are the designated home side of the clash. For both teams, as always in derbies, it will be a very important game and one that could mean much for the remainder of the season.
