MN: Positive news on Kjaer’s injury arrives – updates expected soon on Castillejo and Ibra

By Oliver Fisher -

Some updates have arrived on the conditions of some of AC Milan’s injured players via the latest on MilanNews.

The Rossoneri will get back underway after the brief Christmas break on January 3 when they travel south to face Benevento looking to keep their spot at the top of the table, and preparations have resumed at the training headquarters.

Sky Italia (via MilanNews) reported that today was an optional training day at Milanello, but practically everyone showed up, apart from those who had difficulties with air transfers such as Franck Kessie, Hakan Calhanoglu and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Now, MilanNews have added some updates on the injured players that Pioli is hoping to have back sooner rather than later. They state that Simon Kjaer has done almost all of the training with the group, which is a good sign in view of the Benevento game.

Samu Castillejo did personal work though after he came off with a flexor problem during the Lazio game, while Ibrahimovic, on the other hand, will have a medical check-up on his calf in the next few hours.
