Zlatan Ibrahimovic has far from closed the door on an AC Milan return as there are in fact set to be further discussions about the idea, according to a report.
In a rather surprise twist, the build-up to the game against Newcastle United last night dominated by Ibrahimovic’s presence at Milanello and the news of a potential return to the club in a role yet to be defined.
This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport confirmed that the Swede met with owner Gerry Cardinale yesterday in Milano and it was not just a cordial lunch, with a potential role in Stefano Pioli’s staff mentioned.
According to the latest update from MilanNews, the dialogue between the parties will continue and it is possible that there will be other meetings.
In these discussions, Ibra and Milan will be able to discuss and perhaps identify/create the most suitable and most useful role for the 41-year-old.
