MN: The latest on Rebic’s condition as he will miss clash against Verona

By Isak Möller -

Milan have been dealt yet another blow injury-wise, as Ante Rebic also will miss the game against Hellas Verona tomorrow. This means that Rafael Leao and Emil Roback are the only attackers in the squad.

With Ismael Bennacer, Hakan Calhanoglu, Mario Mandzukic and Zlatan Ibrahimovic already out, another injury was the last thing Stefano Pioli was hoping for. However, this is exactly what happened during today’s training session.

As reported by MilanNews, Rebic left it early and tests then confirmed that he’s suffering from an inflammation in his right hip. This is an issue that he has struggled with throughout the season, but the timing of this flare-up is certainly poor.

Jens Petter Hauge will most likely get the chance from start tomorrow, as a result of Rebic’s absence, and Rafael Leao will keep his spot up front. It will be a makeshift starting XI, therefore, and Milan could be in trouble.
