MN: Tonali aims to be back for Atalanta clash – the latest on his condition

By Isak Möller -

Sandro Tonali is currently recovering from a minor muscle injury that kept him out of action for AC Milan’s game against Udinese last night. He’s eager to make it back for the clash against Atalanta, though.

The midfielder left the friendly against Vicenza with an injury and many of the fans feared a tear. However, tests ruled this out and that was indeed a sigh of relief for Milan, who relied a lot on the youngster last season.

According to MilanNews, Tonali continued his individual recovery program at Milanello today and his goal is to be back for the game against Atalanta. In fact, it looks like he will be at Stefano Pioli’s disposal (perhaps from the bench, though).

Good news for Milan, although it must be said that Rade Krunic did a solid job in Tonali’s place alongside Ismael Bennacer. The game against Atalanta should be tougher than the one against Udinese, so having the best squad available is always good.
