Davide Calabria and Rafael Leao were subbed off in yesterday’s clash between AC Milan and Lecce due to injuries. As a result, tests were carried out at Milanello today and recovery estimates have already been made, a report claims.
Milan confirmed to the media earlier this afternoon that Calabria is suffering from an overload in his left thigh. Leao, meanwhile, has sustained a first-degree (minor) hamstring injury. This means that both of them will remain at Milanello during the break.
According to MilanNews, Calabria should be back in time for the game against Fiorentina after the break (November 25). Leao will have to wait a few more days, as the goal is to have him back for the crucial Borussia Dortmund clash (November 28).
Stefano Pioli and this staff are expected to use the international break to get to the bottom of the injury struggles, per a report. It has been a huge problem at the start of this season and will need to be solved, otherwise it will be a tough campaign for the Rossoneri.
It’s worth noting that a good majority of the injuries have been muscular and thus responsibility must fall on Pioli and his staff. Especially considering just how many players have been affected.
