MN: Why Krunic was left out of Milan’s squad for game against Cagliari

By Isak Möller -

Just one game left, then the Milan players will go on a much-needed vacation after what has been a very demanding season. They are unbeaten since the restart and will be looking to continue this tonight.

Stefano Pioli has certainly done wonders with the squad, replacing Marco Giampaolo in November and completely turning things around. For tonight’s game against Cagliari, he won’t make many changes, opting for consistency to close the season.

Earlier today, he announced the squad for the game and some were surprised to see that Rade Krunic isn’t included. According to MilanNews.it, the Bosnian is suffering from muscle fatigue and Pioli won’t take any chances with his condition.

Emanuele Torrasi, the youngster, has been called up instead although he most likely won’t get any playing time. That being said, Pioli could give a few minutes to the other Primavera youngsters, such as Daniel Maldini and Lorenzo Colombo.
