Moncada also present at Milanello for Milan’s training session today

By Isak Möller -

In addition to Giorgio Furlani, Geoffrey Moncada was present at Milanello today for AC Milan’s training session. Nothing to do with the future of Stefano Pioli, though, who continues to enjoy the support of the management.

Milan will face Newcastle in the Champions League on Tuesday evening and will thus need to bounce back from the derby defeat against Inter. It won’t be an easy task, but starting the Champions League adventure on a good note is crucial.

As highlighted by our colleagues at SempreMilan.it, not just CEO Furlani was present at Milanello today but also the chief scout Geoffrey Moncada. However, the duo wasn’t there to have a summit with Pioli but instead, they wanted to show their support.

Pioli will have a press conference tomorrow at 14:00 and given the outcome of the derby, some interesting questions will probably be asked. In any case, Milan must turn the page and focus on the Newcastle game.

  1. We went on an insane winning streak after losing 5-1 to Atalanta a couple of seasons back. Wait, I forgot – the season’s over on day 4! Pioli out out out!

    1. No one said this, mate, don’t make things up. I know you are being sarcastic, but this is already a baseless argument. What people are criticizing is our record against Inter. How can you lose against the same team 5 times in 1 year and still using the same tactics? He is not able to manage the players.

      1. In the first 10 minutes I saw that it would be a difficult game for Milan, RLC was pulled back and I think it would have been more useful if Pioli had left him in the same position as in the first 3 games, Pulisic didn’t even show up mentally for the game, if he had already chosen the old formation, it should have been Pulisic behind the attackers and Chukwu on the right, when Inter defends there are five players against our 3, in the middle Inter’s 5 against our 4, mission failed..

      2. Are you not reading the comments? People want to swap coaches bring back Maldini and talking about relegation. I’m not arguing with the fact Pioli is sh*t against Inter.

        1. OHHH, You mean those trolls Boulden, Mjoke etc. They are not worth the time, mate. What I think is if they sacked Maldini, Massara because of their failures. Why not Pioli? He was also at fault as much as M&M in our inconsistency,

        2. Who exactly wants to bring back Maldini? Who is talking about relegation? Don’t be a drama queen with your made up comments.

Most people are mad because Milan lost 5 derbies in a row. And it isn’t getting better but worse. I am mad because we got average player for midfield instead of buying 2 better players for the money.

  2. On another note. I hear Pirlo is managing sampdoria in serie b. They sit 16th with 2 points..
Could’ve been Milan, but in serie a. Just saying

  3. Moncada is there to tell them that his logistic regression model predicted a victory vs Inter 🤭
He’s absolutely dumbfounded as to why it didn’t happen 😂

  4. The greatest teams lose a game now and then. Yesterday was vital to future growth which only comes from learning. The scudetto will most like be ours and it’s well deserved.

    1. It’s not about the result, it’s about the manner we lose it. Falling to the same trap 5 times in a row is unacceptable, especially when the coach responsible for it is too stubborn to admit his mistake.

  5. He is telling them according to his statistics the new signing will win the scudetto for the next 10 years in a row 🙂

Players make great coaches and scouts not some kid sitting behind a computer believing everything it tells it.

  6. Dear Moncada, hope this my piece of advice will meet you, you better start scouting a good technical coach ASAP because Pioli is not the type of coach that can take us to the next level.
