Moretto: Al-Shabab express interest in Adli but are met with ‘no opening’

By Oliver Fisher -

The Saudi club that came forward for Yacine Adli in recent days is Al-Shabab, a journalist has claimed, and the player’s stance on the potential move has emerged.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reported this morning that a club from the Saudi Pro League has come forward and made an offer for Adli, one that is deemed too low but was met by a willingness from the Milan management to negotiate.

The Rossoneri are looking for around €15-20m in order to sell him, and with that money the summer transfer budget would be boosted. Thus, Milan could afford the two signings that they are looking to bring in: Youssouf Fofana and Lazar Samardzic.

According to what is being reported by Matteo Moretto of Relevo, Al-Shabab are the team that expressed an interest in signing the former Bordeaux man this summer. However, there is currently ‘no opening’ on Adli’s part towards the potential destination.

Although he has made clear what a strong attachment to Milan he feels, Adli’s spot in the squad is no longer assured. Last season the former Bordeaux man made 17 starts in Serie A, scoring one goal and getting two assists, but if two new midfielders were to arrive he risks being even more on the fringes.

  1. “but if two new midfielders were to arrive he risks being even more on the fringes.”
Seeing how we’re handling this, I’m not even sure about that

    1. Well said!
Even adli somehow convinced bald Pioli, I am sure he can convince Fonseca easily.

To come out of the pressing, Fonseca need such a tactical player.

Pobega might be the one who will leave.
