Napoli midfielder Demme backs former boss Rangnick to achieve ‘great results’ with Milan

By Oliver Fisher -

Napoli midfielder Diego Demme has tipped his former boss Ralf Rangnick to be a success at AC Milan if he arrives this summer.

We reported via our correspondent Vito Angele last month that Rangnick will indeed agree a role as manager – that is the double responsibility of head coach and the man in charge of the transfer market.

Then, Sky Italia confirmed earlier today that Rangnick has already signed a deal with Milan and CEO Ivan Gazidis has informed Maldini of the arrival of the German.

What it means for the future of other key figures at the club such as directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara remains to be seen, but what seems certain is that Milan are ready to launch into yet another new era.

Diego Demme – who joined Napoli from RB Leipzig in the January window – spoke on Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli about the possible arrival of his former coach at Mialn.

“He could bring a lot of change. He is a perfectionist,” Demme said (via MilanNews).

“He always tries to bring out the best from the players. He is convinced that if you can perfect every part of your daily life, the best result will also come out. In Leipzig he has achieved great results and could do the same for Milan.”
