Sky: Rangnick has signed Milan contract – Maldini informed by Gazidis and certain to leave

By Oliver Fisher -

Ralf Rangnick has signed a contract to become the new manager of AC Milan ahead of the 2020-21 season, according to a report.

We reported via our correspondent Vito Angele last month that Rangnick will indeed agree a role as manager – that is the double responsibility of head coach and the man in charge of the transfer market.

Paolo Maldini and Zlatan Ibrahimovic are expected to leave Milan at the end of the season, but we reported how Rangnick, on the other hand, has a different opinion on the matter.

According to Sky Italia, Rangnick has already signed a deal with Milan and CEO Ivan Gazidis has informed Maldini of the arrival of the German.

Rangnick will also cover the role of technical director, while Maldini himself has been offered a new position, that of Club Ambassador, to which he will say no.

  1. Sad that Gazidis is so stupid that he first fired Boban and forces Maldini to leave! Who the hell will convince players to choose this club, if Rangnick is coaching!
