Nesta and Seedorf full of praise for Brahim Diaz: “Makes all the difference”

By Isak Möller -

Brahim Diaz was named the man of the match for AC Milan in their 1-0 win against Napoli last night. As a result, he received a lot of praise post-match from two Rossoneri legends.

The Spaniard showed off his dribbling ability again, just like in the 4-0 trashing at the Maradona, as he helped set up the game-winner with a lovely turn. Indeed, he really opened things up for Milan on that counter-attack.

Speaking live on Prime Video after the game, as cited by MilanNews, Milan legends Alessandro Nesta and Clarence Seedorf both had tons of praise for Diaz. And they also weighed in on his future with the club.

Seedorf: “Getting past your man makes all the difference. One can make a thousand passes and not create a single chance. We need players who take responsibility, as Leao and Diaz did on the goalscoring occasion. When something special happens, it’s because someone got past their man.”

Nesta: “Diaz has these fantastic plays in tight spaces… I’m sorry for him to have this problem, deciding between Milan and Real Madrid that is (laughs).”

Diaz’s loan will expire at the end of this season and Milan will sit down with Real Madrid in the hopes of securing him permanently. However, it might not be that easy as the Bernabeu side have been really impressed with the No.10 as of late.

  1. Has Diaz finally made the next step in his game or is this just another one of his fluctuation in from?
Time will tell, its good tho he’s in from in a crucial stage of the season, RW clearly suits him

  2. How many of us notices that he doesn’t fall or get shrugged off the ball easily again! He wins several balls back like a 4…. Now, he plays with zero fears. Man’s really improved a lot! I don’t see him going backwards ❤️🖤

    1. Seedorf made 432 apearances for milan, thats 100 more than nesta. Complete midfielder that could play any role. Only player to win CL with 3 clubs..Ofc he is a legend. Ofc he is a Milan legend!

    2. What?
One of the best and most complete midfielders ever, 10 years with the club, over 300 games, his name was always among the first on the team sheet, especially in that midfield with Pirlo and Gattuso. Won everything that can be won with a club, and somehow, it’s a stretch to call him a legend.
He is even a bigger Milan legend than Nesta

    3. Lol @MBM 🤣 🤣 why are u even in the AC Milan forums if you dont know anything about AC Milan?
One of the last names on the teamsheet? Hahahaha 🤣 and he’s the 10, reserved for the most skilled player

    4. Maybe he only started to watch Milan in later years of Seedorf career. Indeed he is not first choice anymore, but so does a lot of stars. That didn’t make him undeserved of Legend status thou.
