M’baye Niang spoke briefly with French media outlet, L’Equipe about his future. He has expressed his desire to return to Milan.
“Watford made me discover a new league and a new mentality but I don’t see myself staying there for personal reasons. This decision has nothing to do with Watford fans whom I sincerely want to thank but with the club everything didn’t go as desired. I understand the disappointment of the club that counted on me but I ask them to accept my decision because I won’t change my mind.”

“I first have to meet Milan’s new management to take stock of the situation and consider all the possibilities. If for the good of Milan and my career I have to stay at Milan, I would do it with great pleasure. Otherwise we will look for a solution that benefits all parties. These discussions will be done at the right time.”
The player has also been heavily linked to Everton.
